We are seeking a Festival Marketing & Administration Assistant.


Pay:
National Minimum Wage

Hours: 25 hours per week
Time Period: March 2022 to August 2022 (6 months / 26 weeks)
Location: remote/online *and* Purbeck Valley Farm, Wareham, BH20 5HU (during festival, set-up and pack down)

JOB SUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, committed team that delivers the Purbeck Valley Folk Festival (an annual festival set on a farm on the beautiful Jurassic Coastline). You will be an integral member of our team and will be involved in many aspects of making the festival happen – with a particular emphasis on marketing & social media.  

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person who will help us engage with our customers, reach new audiences, and continue to raise the profile of our family friendly festival.

THE ROLE

The Festival Marketing & Administration Assistant will assist the Purbeck Folk Ltd team in all aspects of marketing management and delivery. You will work closely with the team and learn how to create marketing and communications material for Purbeck Valley Folk Festival 2022 (PVFF22). There will be a focus on creating digital material and social media assets to promote the festival, our activities, and our line-up.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
  • Assist the team in developing and delivering marketing strategies to promote the festival
  • Upload copy on to relevant website/listings/exhibitions/publication and event sites
  • Create and deliver a social media schedule
  • Contribute to the social media activity forPVFF (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Create social media content (images, videos, graphics)
  • Update the festival website
  • Liaise with artists to retrieve marketing information for website & social media posts
  • Help distribute flyers, posters and install signage to promote the festival
  • General administration: attending team meetings, taking minutes, updating team on developments regarding your job role, updating spreadsheets and shared documents
  • Provide other marketing and administration support where required

WORKING HOURS

You will be required to work Mondays. Leading up to the festival you will be expected to work with flexibility, which may include working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as required.

Most of your work for this role will be delivered remotely (working from home). There will be times where we will meet in person, you will need to be working onsite during the week before, during, and after the festival. You will be required to travel around Dorset / Hampshire to carry out marketing duties.

ELIGIBILITY

At the time of applying, you must be aged 16 – 24 years old and you must be registered as a Universal Credit claimant. We can only accept applications from candidates who have be referred/recommended to apply by their work coach. These eligibility criteria have been approved by the Department of Work and Pensions.
