3⁄4 Of the Dorset “Supergroup”* Route 66, Amie, Matt and Steve bring you a taste of the full band who bring varied musical ingredients together and form a recipe that keeps you enthralled.
After an acclaimed set at New Forest Folk Festival 2022, Route 66 announced their arrival on the scene as purveyors of Folk, Roots, Country and Americana with a distinctly British twist.
Singer/songwriters Amie Knight and Matt Griffiths combine great harmonies on each others’ songs: BBC Introducing rising star Amie brings the country vibe with songs about relationships and boys and stuff. Matt writes about the important things like pirates. They are accompanied on backing vocals and fiddle by Steve Faulkner, who is also known for jumping around a lot.
