Owl in the Sun play a home-grown blend of self-penned americana and gypsy-jazz influenced songs. From the heart-warming to the dark and edgy, the gentle toe-tapping to the downright dance your socks off.  Expect infectious melodies and luscious three-part vocal harmonies over a lineup of upright bass, washboard, acoustic guitars, mandolin, accordion, fiddle and occasional flute.

Founder members Colin Cain (guitar, vocals), Cathy Crozier-Cole (upright bass, flute, vocals), Kate Bridge (fiddle, vocals), Tim Crozier-Cole (guitar, vocals) and Damon Bridge (accordion, vocals ) have been making music together since 2009.

They have recently been joined by Tom Cain (washboard) and this year also host Jerry Crozier-Cole (Mandolin).

Owl in the Sun have performed at festivals all over their native West Country, been featured in Glastonbury Emerging Talent Showcase and the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury Festival (2011), were finalists in the UK Isambard Nu-Folk Award, have recorded two albums and an EP, were featured in ‘Top 30 bands pushing the roots music envelope in Europe’ by the American magazine Alternative Root (2013), and have received airplay on BBC Radio 1 and 2.
