Jolene and the Leaves of Life
Day TBA 2026
#PVFF26
Drawing songs from British and American folk traditions, Jolene Missing’s pure, soulful voice has been compared to some of the classic voices of the folk revival of the 1960s and 70s – reminiscent of Shirley Collins or Shelagh McDonald. Joe Hymas is best known for his wildfire mandolin playing in rockgrass band Hayseed Dixie, but he is a multi-instrumentalist, equally adept at fingerpicking guitar styles and clawhammer banjo. The trio is completed by bassist Richard Partridge. In the last year they have played at Ely Folk Festival, Gower Americana & Roots Festival, the Betsey Trotwood in London, and at What’s Cookin’ in Leytonstone. Jolene has released an album called Leaves of Life.
