Festival favourites across the UK, Dragonsfly have continued to excite and inspire audiences for 25 years. A 5-piece band of dynamic, multi-instrumental funky musicians, they deliver celebratory, uplifting, hypnotic, life-affirming music. Harnessing energies of European and Celtic acoustic folk-trance and Eastern grooves and moods, their music is brought to life by soaring melodies, conscious lyrics, lush harmonies and intelligent instrumentals. Using instruments such as bagpipes, mandolin, guitar, recorder, bouzouki, vocals, bass and drums the infectious, compelling charisma of this band gets right under your skin.

Dragonsfly have appeared on BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction and Charles Hazelwood’s BBC Radio 2 show, played the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury Festival and have headlined Green Gathering, Buddhafield, Priddy, Stainsby, Golowan and Sidmouth Fringe. Members have also performed and recorded with Sheila Chandra, Banco de Gaia, Billy Bragg and Daevid Allen (Gong).

“Credit where its due. Dragonsfly does a great job and gets stomp out of folksier instruments” – Folk Roots magazine.

“What rises it above many more ordinary bands is the talent and vision sitting within this music, this is folk music of the world rather than one place. It is celebratory, open and honest” – The Unbroken Circle.

“Reminds me of my band, The Carnival Band” Maddy Prior, Steeleye Span.
