Aaron Horlock and Nick Goode breathe life into tunes that have for years been victims of stagnant traditionalism. The soul in their playing fills a room with a pulsing, timeless energy, you hear seventeenth century english dances searing through a pub and american old time fiddle tunes roaring above a chanting crowd. Old and new folk songs contrast with these fiery interpretations, giving respite from the vigour and adding light and shade to an otherwise storming set. All the beauty of traditional music as it should be heard.
