“Simply Fantastic” Purbeck Folk Festival

Winners of the Purbeck Rising 2013 Competition and shortlisted for Glastonbury’s 2013

Emerging Talent the four-strong group of boys play guitars, timples/ukuleles, accordion, brass with electronics, a vast array of percussion from around the world and anything else they can get their hands on. Featuring punchy vocal harmonies, fast and thick riffs, a delicate and beautiful craft for texture and with their engaging and exciting stage presence, this group will take over the world with their own brand of folk.

Fresh from their UK November 2013 tour and Festival Season, the boys are now looking to their 2014 Uk Spring Tour to promote their 1st album ‘Richest Man Today’ and new material from their upcoming 2nd Album due to be recorded this year.

Tom (Accordion/Timples/Vocals) and Paul (Guitar/Vocals) fresh from collaborating on a variety of music projects formed Big Tent and the Gypsy Lantern through a mutual love of Folk, Rock and Avant Garde composition. With the addition of George (Percussion/Vocals) for their debut gig in Lincolnshire and later Danny (Trumpet/FX) the line-up was complete. After graduating from Birmingham Conservatoire the boys recorded ʻRichest Man Todayʼ in 2012.
