The Jack Ratts pour a love for traditional instruments in to a melting pot of experimentation, creativity & enthusiasm; whilst delivering the whole package with a raw & raucous punk rock punch!
Founded in the sunny sea side town of Bournemouth in 2009, this small group of friends dabbling in banjos, mandolins & accordions, eventually evolved in to a regularly gigging & fully focused six piece band.
Calling themselves The Jack Ratts after 19th century nautical legend & smuggler Jack Rattenbury (& the fine south coast cider of the same name) they began to gain a reputation locally for unleashing a powerful performance.
After touring the UK & making an impact on the summer festival scene (playing alongside the likes of Hayseed Dixie, the Wurzels, the Fisherman’s Friends… to name a few) The Jack Ratts have started to set their sights from Europe to beyond.
