Pictureframers is a collaboration of singer-songwriters Chez Dunford and Viv Sherman.
Chez Dunford is an independent musician performing both self-penned and traditional folk songs. She plays piano accordion, banjo and cornet. Chez is a theatre maker, circus artist and community practitioner using music and story to connect people.
Viv Sherman draws on many years experience playing in the Ceilidh, Session, Folk Club and French music worlds. He tries to make sense of the world through his songwriting. Viv plays guitar, melodeon and octave mandolin.
This unlikely duo are separated by a generation, but they are united by a love of songs that tell stories. Using songwriters skill, detail and poignant lyrics, their songs build a picture which is framed using unfussy and sensitive musical arrangements. Their songs, mainly original with some traditional, reflect honest experiences, observations, hopes and fears. Being family friends all of Chez’s life, Pictureframers Duo have a warm and engaging relationship on stage which tends to draw the listener into the performance.
