Sunday night of Purbeck 2016 brings us the incredible Eliza Carthy & the Wayward Band. Eliza Carthy needs no introduction, coming from the Waterson:Carthy royal family of English folk music, she has been immersed in the folk tradition throughout her whole life, but brings a breath of fresh air and modern tint to the traditional sound. Having won numerous BBC Folk Awards and been nominated (twice) for the Mercury Music Award, she has now gathered together the best, young musicians on the folk scene and boy, are they are force to be reckoned with! They have been making waves on the festival scene for the last year or so and we can’t wait for them to come join us at Purbeck.
